  • Vinoy Park,  501 Fifth Ave. NE, St. Petersburg –American Idol’’s Michael Lynche, Suite Caroline, St. Petersburg Opera Company, music, lights, dance, fire, bubbles, stories, 2 fireworks displays & more. Fireworks at 9 p.m. and at midnight.  Buttons are $12, $6 children. (Buy early to get the light-up buttons, which are limited; hand stamps will be used after they’re gone.)
  • Main stage lineup, North Straub Park: 7 p.m., Sound Parlor; 8 p.m., Suite Caroline; 10:30 p.m., Vodkanauts. Elsewhere: Michael Lynche and the Tampa Bay Steel Orchestra, 7-8 p.m., First United Methodist Church; St. Petersburg Opera Company, 7:30-11:30 p.m., St. Peter’s Cathedral.
    • Peek in the PODS: Selected artists including Blue Lucy, Coralette Damme, Sara McClaron and Kim Radtaz will create unique one of a kind spaces (South Straub Park)
    • First Kids at the Pier: Join the festivities off with an instrument petting zoo by the Second Time Arounders Band, plus other fun activities. It lasts from 5-8 p.m.
    • Bay Shore Bubble Stomp: The street is lined with Bubble Wrap, get there before 8:00 if you want to stomp

    New Year’s Eve Busch Gardens

    Saturday, Dec. 31 at 9 a.m.

    Busch Gardens, 3605 Bougainvillea Ave., Tampa FL, concert by Clint Wiley’s None Other and fireworks at midnight. The park stays open to 1 a.m.


    Outback Bowl Parade

    Saturday, Dec. 31 at 5:30 p.m.

    • Ybor City, 1700 E Seventh Ave., Tampa -parade by the college marching bands and cheerleaders for the Georgia Bulldogs and Michigan State Spartans combine for the Outback Bowl Parade with floats, 20 marching bands. It runs along Seventh Avenue in Ybor City.

      Channelside Lights Up the Bay

      Saturday, Dec. 31 at 1 p.m.

      • Channelside Bay Plaza, 615 Channelside Drive, Tampa-12 hours of free live entertainment, a midnight ball drop and fireworks, all beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday. Viewing of the fireworks from the wharf area will be limited to the first 3,000 people, though, and wristbands will be given out for access at the Garrison Street gate starting at 8:30 p.m. Only persons with wristbands will be allowed on the wharf. The party ends at 1 a.m

      Disco Eve: With Gloria Gaynor, Sister Sledge and Maxine Nightingale

      Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m.

      • Jannus Live!  16 Second St. N, St. Petersburg – new wave/ punk rock group from the ’70s  perform their album Dream Police. Also Rhythmic Noise Philharmonic Orchestra & Mind Choir in 4D, featuring an 18-piece orchestra.  Concert only $65. With open bar $100.

      Fire & Ice New Year’s Eve at the Lobby

      Saturday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.

      • Lobby Bar, 217 Central Ave., St. Petersburg-fire dancers, an ice luge (a large martini glass carved out of ice that delivers your favorite shots), a snow machine, live music and a champagne toast. $15, $250 VIP table.

      New Year’s Eve Party with the Isley Brothers

      Saturday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.

      • The Club at Treasure Island , 400 Treasure Island Causeway , Treasure Island   The Isley Brothers ( It’s Your Thing) and Stormbringer  for a one-night-only outdoor concert.  The pool will be covered with a custom see-through dance floor for dancing on the water by Boca Ciega Bay. Also ice sculptures, temporary tattoo parlor, free-flowing champagne and multicolored light shows. A portion of the proceeds benefits All Children’s Hospital. $150.

      New Year’s Eve at MacDinton’s St. Pete

      Saturday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.

      • MacDinton’s Irish Pub St. Petersburg, 226 First Ave. N,  free cover, a champagne toast at midnight and a DJ from midnight to 3 a.m. The bar will also stream the next-door Cheap Trick concert live.
