Thank you, Joan Walker, the Pinellas International Council Cultural Awareness Committee Chair, for putting together a wonderful Oktoberfest evening at the Imagine Museum followed by authentic German food and drink at the Hofbrauhaus, both in downtown St Petersburg, Florida. The Imagine Museum gave us a private tour while explaining the history of studio glass making in the USA. Absolutely stunning pieces of glass throughout with info on each artist. Thank you to all that attended. A great time was had by all! Let’s do this again.

She has a been a great supporter of the Pinellas International Council since its inception and it is our great honour to have her return for another wonderful and lively presentation.

Macarena Rose is a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), International Real Estate & Relocation Consultant, an Ordained Minister, and inventor of the Prop-Up Pillow, cancer survivor and a Master in the Healing Arts.

After raising her 8 children in St Petersburg, Florida, she picked up and moved to Belize in 2004. Macarena has never looked back or regretted her decision. She loves Belize and its wonderful people!

Macarena is the owner of a real estate team in Belize called Rainforest Realty with Keller Williams Belize, developing it into one of the leading real estate teams in Central America. She remains a vital presence in the Central America real estate industry, maintaining an ongoing leadership role. She has a busy schedule that includes creating the International radio shows “Belize Talk Radio”,  “International Real Estate Talk” and her most recent show “Tuesdays with Morey Tax Tips“, filming her 8th HGTV House Hunters International program in Belize, speaking as an International Real Estate Consultant in various forums and serving on the board of many community organizations in Belize.

Additionally she is now the Operating Principle of Keller Williams Belize for the Country.

An inspiration as to how to live a fulfilled life…her motto is – Throw Your Hat Over the Wall, Don’t Look Back & Just Do It!!

Thank you to Carlos Fuentes, all of the attendees, the Pinellas Realtor Affiliates and Pinellas Realtor Organization for a great CIPS Americas course yesterday! The course was packed with a tremendous amount of useful information for anyone planning to conduct Real Estate business in Canada, Mexico, Central and South America. Carlos not only teaches the class but also adds so much personal experience. Historical and cultural influences, regional relationship, and investment opportunities were covered along with a special focus on Mexico.

The Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) course on the Americas offers you practical information on working with Caribbean, North, Central and South American investors.  Historical and cultural influences, regional relationship, and investment opportunities are covered along with a special focus on Mexico.

SCHEDULE:
8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.: Sign-in, networking, and breakfast
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Course, Light breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Seating is limited and registration is required. You MUST register in advance. Earn 7 hours of CE credit while gaining invaluable knowledge.

***This course is one of the courses required to earn the prestigious Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) designation. The CIPS Network comprises 2,500 real estate professionals from 50 countries and is the specialty membership group for global business practitioners of the National Association of Realtors®. Expand your knowledge globally.

The CIPS course curriculum offers you hands-on experience with international real estate transactions, as well as five full days of study focusing on the critical aspects of transnational transactions, including: Currency and exchange rate issues, Cross-cultural relationships, Regional market conditions, Investment performance, Tax issues And more! Plus, after obtaining your designation, you gain access to networking throughout the world for referrals.

To be eligible for the CIPS Designation, you must complete 5 courses as outlined below. The designation application must be submitted within 3 years of beginning your courses. Any courses completed more than 3 years prior to the submission of your application must be retaken to receive credit towards the education requirement of the designation.

CIPS Courses 2018

Please join the Pinellas International Council from 9-4:30 on March 16, 2018 for our 7th Annual Global Real Estate Symposium. You will learn about International Tax Issues from Susan Poskus-always a crowd pleaser because of her extensive knowledge! Also Brent Parkway, of the Pinellas County Economic Development and April Kalapp of First American Title will be presenting. To end the day, why not earn some CE credits from Don Gonzalez, attorney followed by networking, wine and appetizers?!

Not bad for $10-$15 for the day. Become a Council member & the event is only $10.

You MUST register by March 9th.

7th Annual Global Symposium 3-16-18

On October 18th the Pinellas International Council held it’s monthly International Marketing Session with Martha Vasquez presenting on Canada. Martha shared how to connect with and do referrals with Canadian realtors, helpful websites, and much more in the hour long presentation. We had a great turnout. Thanks to our speaker, the Pinellas Realtor Affiliates and all those who attended this very informative presentation.
